Your license works on a limited number of devices - if you hit the limit, ask the rights holder to raise it or revoke an old device.

Troubleshooting

Known limitations & how to fix them

The extension works on top of Lovable's own security and billing checks, so users may occasionally run into one of the four errors below. None of them is a problem with the license, and each takes under a minute to fix. Share these fixes with your customers - the same guide is public at dl.eklas.dev.

1

“Additional verification” captcha error

status 428 · captcha_required

Lovable occasionally asks for extra human verification. While the extension is active, that captcha cannot be displayed, so prompts fail with the error popup below. Apply any one of the fixes to get going again.

What the error looks like

response
1{2  "status": 428,3  "type": "captcha_required",4  "title": "Additional verification is required. Please complete the captcha and try again.",5  "message": "Additional verification is required. Please complete the captcha and try again.",6  "details": "",7  "request_id": "1c7da7117f914eda6af9c40311b5be7e"8}

The request_id value changes every time - any popup with the same status means the same thing.

Fix 1Disable the extension, solve the captcha, re-enable Recommended

Turn the extension off in your browser's extension manager, then send any prompt on Lovable. The captcha popup will now appear - solve it, turn the extension back on, and keep working as usual.

Fix 2Connect a VPN to change your IP address

Connect to a VPN (or switch to a different VPN server) so Lovable sees a new IP address, then reload the Lovable tab and send your prompt again.

Fix 3Log out of Lovable and log back in

Sign out of your Lovable account, sign back in, and retry your prompt. A fresh session usually clears the verification requirement.

You only need one of these fixes - start with Fix 1.
2

“Workspace out of credits” error

status 402 · Payment required

The extension needs at least 1 credit in your active Lovable workspace to operate. Lovable gives every account 5 free credits per day, and those same credits work with the extension. If the balance reaches 0, prompts fail with the popup below. This usually happens when the extension is used the wrong way and prompts silently consume your credits.

What the error looks like

response
1{2  "status": 402,3  "type": "Payment required",4  "title": "Workspace out of credits",5  "message": "Workspace out of credits",6  "details": "",7  "request_id": "f4cc62012220ccfcca593137fa186484"8}

The request_id value changes every time - any popup with the same status means the same thing.

Fix 1Wait for your free daily credits Recommended

Lovable gives every account 5 free credits each day, and those same credits work with the extension. Wait up to 24 hours for the daily refresh, then continue using the extension as usual.

Fix 2Switch to a workspace with credits

Open another workspace that still has at least 1 credit remaining - or create a new one - and use the extension there.

Fix 3Use another Lovable account

Sign in with a new or secondary Lovable account that still has credits available and continue from there.

Use it the right way so credits are never consumed

Both moments are shown in the setup video - follow these two habits and the credit balance stays untouched.

1. Reload Lovable after activating your license

Right after entering your license key, refresh the open Lovable tab before sending any prompt. Skipping this is the most common reason credits get consumed.

Watch 1:08 – 1:19 in the setup video

2. Check the chat says “Lovable” after you prompt

If the message in the chat appears as “Lovable”, the extension is handling it and no credits are consumed. If you see your own prompt text instead, that prompt is consuming credits - reload the page and send it again.

Watch 1:30 – 1:50 in the setup video
The extension will not work with 0 credits. Keep at least 1 credit in the active workspace at all times - the 5 free daily credits are enough.
3

“Project creation blocked” error

status 403 · castle_denied

When you create a new project through the extension, Lovable's fraud protection sometimes flags the request as suspicious - usually because of your IP address - and blocks it with the popup below. Your account is fine; apply any one of the fixes.

What the error looks like

response
1{2  "status": 403,3  "type": "castle_denied",4  "title": "Project creation was blocked due to suspicious activity. Contact support if you believe this is a mistake.",5  "message": "Project creation was blocked due to suspicious activity. Contact support if you believe this is a mistake.",6  "details": "",7  "request_id": "015bf371ce7f1604c59be2fec1501523"8}

The request_id value changes every time - any popup with the same status means the same thing.

Fix 1Create the project manually, then prompt Recommended

Turn the extension off, create the new project from the Lovable dashboard as normal, then turn the extension back on and continue prompting inside that project.

Fix 2Connect a VPN to change your IP address

This block is mostly based on IP reputation. Connect to a VPN or switch networks so Lovable sees a new IP address, then try creating the project again.

Fix 3Use a different workspace or account

Switch to another workspace, or sign in with a new or secondary Lovable account, and create the project there.

You only need one of these fixes - start with Fix 1; it takes a few seconds.
4

“Invalid token” error

status 401 · unauthorized

If prompts suddenly fail with the red message below, the extension's session token has expired or become invalid. This is the quickest error to fix - a single reload clears it.

What the error looks like

response
1{2  "status": 401,3  "type": "unauthorized",4  "title": "Invalid token",5  "message": "Invalid token",6  "details": "",7  "request_id": "fa8feffa8080ba8a7e0e8afe8..."8}

The request_id value changes every time - any popup with the same status means the same thing.

Fix 1Open Lovable and reload the page Recommended

Visit the Lovable website in the same browser and refresh the page. The extension picks up a fresh session token automatically and the error goes away.
